CUF (Capacity Utilisation Factor)
CUF expresses annual generation as a percentage of what the plant would produce running at full rated power 24×365. Indian solar plants typically achieve 16–20% CUF — normal for a resource available only in daylight.
CUF and specific yield say the same thing in different units (19% CUF ≈ 1,664 kWh/kWp). Utility tenders quote CUF; rooftop conversations usually use specific yield.
