A properly specified 1,500 V solar DC cable with a complete electrical table — and, unusually, enough data to do your own voltage-drop check.
DEHN — DEHNcombo DCB YPV SCI 1000 FM (900 066)
A combined Type 1 + Type 2 surge arrester for 1,000 V PV strings, with a built-in disconnect and remote fault contact — for use inside an enclosure, not out on the roof.
Genus Power — Saksham 145 single-phase smart meter
An IS 16444 single-phase smart meter with a cellular modem and remote disconnect — but its datasheet never mentions net metering, so confirm the net-meter variant with your DISCOM.
SOLARMAN — LSW-3 Wi-Fi stick logger
A small RS232 Wi-Fi dongle that puts an inverter on a cloud app — with a thin spec sheet and no stated certifications or compatible-inverter list.
Testo — 872 thermal imager
A 320 × 240 hand-held thermal imager with a manual “solar mode” — capable for hot-spot checks at close range, but the manual never describes PV inspection itself.
Fluke — IRR1-SOL / IRR2-BT solar irradiance meter
A hand-held irradiance, temperature, tilt and compass meter for PV surveys and commissioning — accuracy of ±(5% + 5 digits), and a compass referenced to magnetic north.
HT Instruments — I-V500w 1,500 V I-V curve tracer
A 1,500 V I-V curve tracer for testing modules and strings in the field — strong feature list, but the product page leaves out accuracy, battery and IP figures.
K2 Systems — BasicRail 22 (2004278) rail for trapezoidal sheet metal roofs
A 4.8 m aluminium rail for tin-shed (trapezoidal sheet) roofs — a sensible product, but its catalogue page gives no load rating and no India wind-code basis.
Skilancer Solar — SS-01 Series waterless cleaning robot
An Indian waterless robotic cleaner aimed at multi-megawatt plants — published without a datasheet, so we are not rating it, and here is what to ask before you buy any cleaning robot.
Schneider Electric — Acti9 C60NA-DC 2P 20 A / 1,000 V DC switch disconnector (A9N61690)
A DIN-rail DC isolator rated for 1,000 V — but only 20 A at that voltage, which is tighter than it looks against today’s high-current modules.
Indelec — Prevectron 3 early streamer emission (ESE) lightning conductor
A well-documented ESE air terminal with a published protection-radius formula — made under a French standard rather than IEC 62305, so check what your design requires.
CITEL — DS50PV-1000 Type 2 PV surge protector
A pluggable Type 2 PV surge arrester certified to the PV-specific EN 50539-11 and UL 1449 — with mechanical status flags and an optional remote contact.
OBO Bettermann — V20 PV surge protection, 1,000 V DC (item 5094608)
A Type 2 three-pole PV arrester with a stated five-year warranty and a “Y-circuit” design — but no remote contact on the version we read.
L&T Electrical & Automation — Aurora single-phase smart meter (IS 16444 Part 1)
An IS 16444 smart meter with four-quadrant energy measurement, an IS 15959 RF option and a built-in GPRS modem — with specs “as per customer requirement”.
Secure Meters — Saral single-phase direct-connected meter (net-metering use)
A compact, IP54 single-phase meter that Secure says suits net metering — to IS 13779 and IS 15959 rather than the IS 16444 smart-meter standard.
Amphenol — Amphe-PV H4 Plus cable connector
A second genuine connector family: UL 6703 and IEC 62852 listed at 1,500 V on its page, with current ratings by cable size — and a clear warning that H4 mates with H4, not MC4.
FLIR — E54 advanced thermal imaging camera (24° lens)
A 320 × 240, <40 mK thermal camera with a touchscreen and inspection routes — a step up in sensitivity from the Testo 872, with no solar-specific features on its page.
Seaward — Solar Survey 200R irradiance meter (396A914)
A reference-cell irradiance meter with logging and a two-year warranty — but no accuracy figure on its specifications page.
Unger — nLITE HiFlo ALU water-fed poles (AN60G master, AN30G extension)
A professional water-fed pole system for cleaning modules from the ground — with a published weight and length, and solar-specific guidance that sits on a different page from the product.
Sungrow — SH5.0RS-20 single-phase hybrid inverter
A 5 kW single-phase hybrid with 97.7% peak efficiency and an 80–460 V battery window — which means it pairs with high-voltage batteries, not the 48 V packs most Indian homes use.
Huawei — SUN2000-5KTL-L1 single-phase battery-ready inverter
A 98.4% peak-efficiency single-phase inverter with arc-fault protection — hybrid only when paired with Huawei’s high-voltage LUNA2000 battery and a separate backup box.
Solis — S6-EH1P6K-L-PLUS single-phase low-voltage hybrid inverter
A 6 kW, 48 V-class hybrid with a 135 A battery port, <4 ms backup switching and 200% overload — on a datasheet still marked “Preliminary”.
Growatt — SPH 5000TL BL-UP single-phase hybrid inverter
A 48 V-class hybrid with 97.5% efficiency and a 10 ms UPS function — whose datasheet lists 4,000 W of AC power for a model called “5000”.
Livguard — LS OG5048M 5 kVA / 48 V MPPT solar power conditioning unit
What most Indian “hybrid solar inverters” actually are: a 5 kVA lead-acid solar UPS with an MPPT charger — no grid export, no lithium, no remote monitoring on the brochure.
Huawei — LUNA2000-5-S0 modular LFP battery (5–15 kWh)
A modular 5 kWh LFP battery with 100% depth of discharge, IP66 and IEC 62619 — a 350–560 V Huawei-inverter battery, not a drop-in 48 V pack.
Growatt — ARK HV 5.1H–25.6H battery system (ARK 2.5H-A1 modules)
A stackable high-voltage LFP battery with a 10-year warranty and IEC 62619 — with a −10 °C to +45 °C window worth checking against an Indian summer.
Pylontech — US5000 4.8 kWh 48 V LFP battery (as published in ZCS datasheet)
The widely used 48 V rack battery: >6,000 cycles and a 10-year warranty on a distributor’s sheet — with IP20 housing and certifications that omit IEC 62619.
Luminous — Helios 51.2V 100Ah LFP lithium battery (5.12 kWh)
An Indian-brand 5.12 kWh LFP battery at a listed ₹99,999 with a 60-month warranty — and 3,000 cycles, IP20 and no BIS or BMS details on the page.

A TOPCon module whose datasheet shows an ALMM badge and in-house cells — with the DCR certificate still to ask for.

A well-specified low-voltage hybrid inverter on paper — the India-market SKU and local service backing are what you still need to confirm.
Waaree — Elite Series N-Type TOPCon (BiN-08-565 to BiN-08-600)
A newer-generation TOPCon module with a genuinely lower temperature coefficient than Mono PERC — the real advantage for Indian summer heat.
Loom Solar — CAML10051-WM (5.12 kWh LFP Wall Battery)
A precisely-specified 5.12kWh wall battery with genuinely strong round-trip efficiency — the real gap is that BIS certification isn’t stated.
Growatt — MIN 5000TL-X
Strong raw efficiency and a familiar India-installed brand — but confirm whether fire-risk arc-fault protection is standard or an add-on.
Solis — S6-GR1P3.6K-M
A compact, quiet entry-level string inverter for smaller residential systems — verified at 3.6kW, not the full "3K–6K" range.
Vikram Solar — Somera Series 10 (VSMH.72.AAA.05, 525–550W)
A mature, monofacial Mono PERC module from an established Indian manufacturer — the datasheet itself flags some certifications as still "under progress."
