Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Harit Urja Mission (“HUM”, “we”) is owned and operated by Right Web Solution, Mumbai, India. This page explains, in plain language, what information the website collects and why. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we do not do

  • There are no user accounts and no sign-up — you do not give us a name, email or password to use HUM.
  • We do not show advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information.
  • We do not collect payment or financial details. The calculators run on your own device.

What we collect

Anonymised usage analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It records page views, the approximate location (city and country) Google derives from your connection, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and interactions such as clicking a “reveal contact” button in the vendor directory (the revealed contact itself is not recorded). IP anonymisation is switched on. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to tell visits apart. We do not currently show a cookie banner; you can block or opt out of Google Analytics through your browser settings, an extension, or Google’s opt-out add-on.

Storage in your browser

The vendor directory limits how many contact details one browser can reveal in 24 hours. That counter is kept in your browser’s local storage on your device and is not sent to us.

Share buttons

The share buttons (WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, X, email) are ordinary buttons: nothing is loaded from those services until you click one, and then you are on their site under their privacy policy. Clicking a share button records an anonymous “share” event in our analytics (which button and which page). Shared links carry a small source tag so we can see that a visit came from a share. The subsidy calculator keeps your inputs (system size, state, tariff) in the page address so a result can be bookmarked or shared; as part of the page address they may appear in our analytics page-view data, but they are not linked to your identity.

Messages you send us

If you email or call us, we receive the details you choose to share (such as your name, email address and question) and use them only to reply and to improve the site.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request data (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) for security and reliability.

Business listings in the vendor directory

The vendor directory lists businesses (company names, business categories, areas served and business contact details) compiled from industry and business sources. Contact details are shown only when a visitor chooses to reveal them. If you represent a listed business and want an entry corrected or removed, email us and we will act on it.

Who else handles data

  • Google (Google Analytics) — usage analytics, as described above.
  • Our web hosting provider — serves the site and keeps server logs.
  • Our content management system is used to prepare articles and listings; it does not receive data about visitors.

The site contains links to external websites (for example government portals and manufacturer datasheets). Their privacy practices are their own.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you (for example, an email you sent us), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Email hello@hariturjamission.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

HUM is a general-information site and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example, if we add a feature that collects more information — we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect. Questions? See About HUM or email us.
