WaareeSolar Module Range

India’s largest module maker — scale and bankability, across a very wide range.

Reviewed 25 July 2026 · verdict on public record, hard specs awaiting a sourced feed

4.4of 5 · our score

Waaree Energies is India’s largest solar module manufacturer by capacity and one of the most widely available brands across residential, C&I, and utility projects. Its line-up spans Mono PERC and newer TOPCon (n-type) modules, in both DCR (domestic-cell) and non-DCR variants — which matters directly for whether a given module fits a subsidised home or an unsubsidised commercial plant.

For most buyers the practical appeal is bankability and availability: a manufacturer at Waaree’s scale is more likely to still exist to honour a 25-year performance warranty, and its modules are stocked by a large installer network, so sourcing and replacement are rarely bottlenecks.

The Scorecard

How we score

Efficiency & Real-World Yield

4.0

Competitive current-generation TOPCon and Mono PERC lines; real yield depends on the exact model chosen.

Durability & Degradation

4.0

Standard tier-1 build and certifications; long-term field data on newest TOPCon lines is still accumulating industry-wide.

Warranty & Bankability

5.0

Largest Indian capacity gives the strongest bankability argument for honouring a 25-year claim.

Subsidy & Policy Fit

5.0

ALMM-listed with a genuine DCR option — fits both subsidised and commercial procurement.

Value for Money

4.0

Scale keeps ₹/W competitive; confirm the quoted model rather than assuming a range price.

Strengths

  • Largest Indian module capacity — strong long-term bankability for warranty claims
  • Both DCR and non-DCR lines, so it fits subsidised and commercial projects
  • Current TOPCon and Mono PERC options; wide wattage availability
  • ALMM-listed and broadly stocked, keeping lead times and prices competitive

Watch-outs

  • Range is broad — the specific model and its DCR status must be confirmed in writing, not assumed from the brand
  • Entry lines compete on price; match the exact model to the datasheet you were quoted

Who It’s For

  • Subsidised homes needing a bankable DCR module
  • C&I / MSME buyers wanting scale-backed non-DCR supply

Our Verdict

The default safe choice for buyers who prioritise bankability and availability. The brand is not the decision — the specific model and its DCR status are — but few manufacturers give you a stronger warranty backer.
