Bidirectional (Net) Meter

A bidirectional meter records energy flowing in both directions — imports from the grid and exports from your solar system — enabling net metering. The DISCOM installs it after commissioning inspection.

Meter availability is a common last-mile delay in the subsidy timeline; the installation is complete only when this meter is in and sealed. Keep the old meter reading documented at changeover.
