Mono PERC
Mono PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) adds a reflective passivation layer to the back of a monocrystalline cell, capturing light that would otherwise escape. It pushed mainstream panel efficiency past 21% and remains the workhorse of Indian rooftops.
PERC held the market for nearly a decade and is now gradually giving way to TOPCon at similar prices. For buyers, either is a sound choice — insist on ALMM-listed models and a 25-year+ linear performance warranty.
