Anti-Islanding Protection

Anti-islanding is a mandatory safety feature that shuts down a grid-tied inverter the moment grid supply fails, preventing your system from energising lines that utility workers believe are dead.

This is why on-grid systems give no backup during power cuts — a safety requirement, not a defect. Backup requires a hybrid inverter and battery that can island safely into a dedicated circuit.
