Half-Cut Cells

Half-cut cell panels slice each solar cell in two, halving the current per cell and reducing resistive losses. The design also splits the panel into two halves, so shade on one half does not collapse the whole panel’s output.

Practically all modern Indian modules use half-cut (or third-cut) architecture — 108, 120, or 144 half-cells. The shade tolerance matters on rooftops with water tanks, parapets, or nearby buildings.
