Polycrystalline Panel

Polycrystalline panels are made from silicon cast from multiple crystals, identifiable by a blue, speckled appearance. Their efficiency (15–17%) is well below modern monocrystalline technology, and they are now largely obsolete for new Indian installations.

Poly panels still surface in clearance stock and very low quotes. They need ~25–30% more roof area for the same output, which usually erases any price advantage on space-constrained rooftops.
