Wind Load (IS 875)

Wind load is the force wind exerts on panels and structures, calculated per IS 875 Part 3 using the site’s basic wind speed — up to 150+ km/h in Indian coastal zones. Structures must be engineered and anchored for it.

Underweight structures and inadequate anchoring are the classic failure in cheap installations — panels become sails in a storm. Ask for the structure’s wind-load design calculation, not just a verbal assurance.
