No verified state cash subsidy for Gujarat homes — sources conflict
We could not find a current state cash top-up for Gujarat residential rooftop solar on any official page we could read. The original SURYA Gujarat scheme paid a 40% state subsidy on systems up to 3 kW; at least one installer FAQ says that was discontinued and Gujarat now adds nothing on top of PM Surya Ghar. Other sites still quote ₹10,000 per kW (up to ₹20,000) via GEDA, but they cite no source and may be repeating older figures. The one state benefit we found reported (in a September 2025 article) is a ₹2,950 discount on meter, meter testing, meter box and connectivity charges for new rooftop systems up to 6 kW — a charge waiver, not cash. We treat Gujarat as central-subsidy-only and do not add any state amount to our totals.
