DCDB / ACDB

DCDB (DC Distribution Box) and ACDB (AC Distribution Box) are protection enclosures on either side of the inverter, housing fuses, breakers, and surge protection devices. They isolate faults and protect the inverter and home wiring.

A quality installation always includes both, with type-rated SPDs and correctly sized breakers. Their absence — or empty boxes for show — is a classic cost-cutting red flag in cheap quotes.
