MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking)

MPPT is the algorithm by which an inverter continuously finds the voltage-current combination that extracts maximum power from the panels as sunlight and temperature change. Inverters have one or more independent MPPT inputs.

Multiple MPPTs let differently-oriented or partially-shaded roof sections operate independently. When comparing inverters, check the MPPT voltage window — string sizing must keep the array inside it across India’s temperature range.
