String Sizing
String sizing determines how many panels can be safely wired in series: enough that hot-weather voltage stays above the inverter’s MPPT minimum, but few enough that cold-morning Voc stays below its DC maximum.
Correct sizing uses temperature-corrected voltages, not datasheet STC values. For a typical 545 Wp module and 1,100 V inverter in Indian conditions, safe strings run roughly 6–20 modules.
